On Sunday, September 17th, 2017, the sixth annual "Arts Below Sunrise" community event will take place along a closed section of Broadway between the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library in Hewlett and Irving Place in Woodmere. There will be live music, artists, dancers, demonstrations, craft and food vendors and an overall festive atmosphere for all ages. In addition, this year will include many S.T.E.A.M.* activities. *Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts (including Music), and Math. There will be contests and prizes! Look for details here soon.
The festival is organized by the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools Endowment Fund (HWPSEF) and staffed by community volunteers from the HWPSEF, High School and Middle School Youth Leadership Forum, Hewlett-Woodmere Business Association, Trinity-St. John's Church, Five Towns Community Chest, Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library, School District 14, Hewlett and Woodmere Fire Departments, Auxiliary Police and supporters from our neighborhood.
The HWPSEF is looking for Event Sponsors for Arts Below Sunrise to help defray our operational expenses. Sponsorships are used to cover costs associated with the festival (musicians, sound engineers, rental fees for tables, chairs & stages, port-a-potties, posters/banners/signs/flyers/ads, event-day staff t-shirts, etc.). Sponsors are eligible for VIP Tent access, free vendor space and their Name/Logo displayed on event advertising and signage.
We hope that you will consider supporting the HWPSEF's Arts Below Sunrise as an Event Sponsor. We volunteers are happy to put the time in to organize this festival for our community, but if we can't cover our expenses through sponsorships, we can't justify continuing the event annually.
